Dynamic Women for Children (DWFC) Private Care Centre was established on the first of October 2012. Our Care Centre is located right next to Laerskool Kameelfontein. DWFC Private Care Centre was started as a result of the need within the community ( especially focused on the informal settlements where we’ve volunteered on) for a safe space for the underprivileged children to receive a decent cooked meal, do their homework, play and be looked after. But we soon realised that only one meal a day is not enough. The children need breakfast, to be able to work to their full potential at school as well as a meal before they go home, as most of the times there are not sufficient food supplies at home. Over the past 8 years, the Private Care centre does not only provide 3 meals daily, a safe space to do homework and play, but also provide for these children with all their basic needs and more on a daily basis.
DWFC have big dreams and plans for the Private Care Centre. Our
Wishlist / dreams are:
• A hostel where we can host 50 children (25 Boys and 25 Girls)
permanently.
• A safe house for babies with a “drop box”
• A Nursery
DWFC Private Care Centre strive to provide for these children with all their basic needs and more on a physical and educational level, with a Christian foundation.
DWFC Private Care Centre currently have 50+ registered children (Grade RRR to Grade 12) for 2020. We provide for these children three meals daily, transport to and from school( including extramural activities) , a safe and supportive space to do homework, stationary, toiletries, secondhand clothes, birthday parties, Christmas party, holiday programs, outings and camps, opportunity to take part in extramural activities and a lot of love.
If you or your organization would like to get involved and contribute – either financially, with donations of food, toiletries, stationary, domestic cleaning material or as a volunteer – please contact me. Below I provide our care centre’s banking details. Please note that the Care Centre has its own bank account and it is not the same as the general DWFC bank account.
